Short biograthy

Finogeev Aleksey Germanovich, born in 1962 in Penza (Volga Region, Russia) Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Computer Aided Design Department (Penza State University). In 1984 he graduated from the specialty "Design and manufacture of electronic computing equipment" at the Penza Polytechnic Institute. He started working at the Institute since 1984 and entered post-graduate studies at the Penza Polytechnic Institute. In 1988 he defended PhD thesis on specialty 05.13.12 "Computer-Aided Design Systems". In 1993 he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the Computer Aided Design Department. In 2003 he graduated doctoral studies at the Penza State University and defended his doctoral dissertation at the specialties 05.13.01 (Systems Analysis, Control and Information Processing) and 05.13.12 (Computer Aided Design).

In 2008 he was awarded the academic title of professor in the department Computer Aided Design Department. In 2007 he was awarded with the diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. In 2013, he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation". In 2019, he was awarded the honorary title Scientist of the Year in the Penza Region in the category Engineering Sciences.

During the work period, working programs and training courses of a number of disciplines for various specialties have been developed. Teaching is conducted in the following disciplines: Computer networks and telecommunications, Information networks, Network technologies, Software engineering, Distributed systems and networks, Administration of information systems, Administration of computer networks, Theory of information processes and systems, Multimedia technologies.

During his research career worked as an engineer (Penza Politechnical Institute), researcher (Ottawa University), assistant professor, associate professor, professor (Penza State University). Since 2004, he is the fulltime professor at the Department of Computer Aided Design of Penza State University.

Professional appointments and research interest

He takes part in the research work of the university, conducts fundamental and applied research on federal scientific and technical programs, state contracts and grants. During the last 10 years he was scientific supervisor of the 11 projects and participated as an executor in 8 projects. The area of the scientific research is connected with information technologies, network technologies, wireless technologies, technologies for digital economy, BigData, sensor networks, SCADA system, 3D modeling and virtual reality, computer aided design. Main science activities are related with design of intellectual and analytical systems, wireless sensor networks, fog and grid computing, SCADA systems, decision-making systems, information systems.
