1. The purpose and objectives of mastering the discipline
The goal is the formation of students' linguistic and communicative competences (linguistic, communicative, sociocultural and linguistic competences) in various areas of speech communication.
Objectives:
- To form a communicatively sufficient amount of mastered grammatical phenomena characteristic of the social, everyday-life and cultural sphere of communication.
- To learn new vocabulary, including the vocabulary of everyday nature.
- To master the basics of listening (understanding basic information).
- To master the basics of monological and dialogical speech.
- To master the basics of literate writing (filling out forms, writing postcards and letters, writing essays, paraphrases), using adequate language tools and the correct application of the basic rules of spelling and punctuation of Russian writing
- To form cultural awareness of the sociocultural portrait of representatives of the countries of the studied language, the sociocultural standards of speech behavior in a foreign language environment in the conditions of formal and informal communication.
- To form the basics of the technology of language self-education, which involve mastering the technique of working with the main types of reference and educational books and a variety of handbooks.
2. The content of the discipline
Section 1. Introductory Phonetic Course
Theme 1.1. The formation and development of speech skills (speech activity):
Theme 1.2. Expressive means of oral speech: intonation, logical stress, pause. Correct identification of intonation by ear.
Theme 1.3.Section 2. Situations of verbal communication (elementary level)

Theme 2.3. "My address. My room"
Theme 2.4. "Free time. Hobbies"

3. The labor output of the discipline
The total labor output of the discipline is 3 credits, 108 hours.
4. Progress assessment
Interim assessment is in the form of an exam.
