Annotation of the study program S1.1.26 Medical rehabilitation
General workload of the discipline totals 3 credit units, 108 hours.
The main goal of mastering the discipline S 1.1.26 Medical Rehabilitation is the study of preventive and rehabilitative measures in somatic diseases, diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system and mental disorders.
The discipline S. 1.1.26 Medical Rehabilitation refers to the basic part of the unit S1 Subjects.
The process of studying the discipline is aimed at forming the components of the following competences in accordance with Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education (hereinafter – FSES HE) in this field of study:
- GPC-6 - be able to use methods and means of physical training to ensure full social and professional activity;
- SPC-14 - be able to determine the need to use natural treatment factors, drug, non-drug therapy and other methods for patients requiring health rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment.
Нaving mastered the discipline students should have:
- Knowledge – to know the basic principles, methods and main directions of medical rehabilitation treatment of patients with somatic diseases; to know basic principles and methods of applying natural healing factors, drug, and non-drug therapy;
- Skills – be able to apply the mechanisms of recovery and compensation of disturbed functions in various diseases; be able to justify therapy in a particular patient with somatic disease, to assess the effectiveness and safety of treatment;
Working abilities - identify clinical signs of changes and disturbances in the organs and systems that limit physical performance and motor activity of patients; apply algorithms for implementing the main therapeutic rehabilitation measures in patients who need rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment, conduct preventive and therapeutic measures to treat patients and improve their health and well-being.
Types of educational work are lectures, practice, out-of-class work.
Interim assessment is a test.
