The institution employs over 1700 workers, including 450 doctors and 890 paramedical specialists.

We render all types of primary medical aid to the population of Penza constituting 522317 people.

Today, the Medical Institute is training a constellation of talented specialists in the field of healthcare. The graduates of PSU’s Medical Institute take part in solving an important regional problem – medical staffing the medical institutions of Penza city and the region. The Institute has been successfully training general practitioners for already 20 years.

At the present moment, 120 graduates of PSU’s Medical Institute work as medical specialists at our organization. As for the nearest years, 17 graduates were hired in 2018 and 20 – in 2019.

The Medical Institute provides basic training of doctors, gives practical skills in organizing medical activities, diagnosing and treating internal diseases in adults and children. Professional training is carried out according to the medical training standards. In the Simulation Center students and clinical residents master the skills in medical aid rendering, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, aid at injuries, obstetric and gynecological aid.

Young specialists perfectly deal with the tasks given, master necessary professional skills, use their entire experience and knowledge, demonstrate discipline, orderliness, and culture at work, value the honor of their team, behave with dignity at work and in their free time, take active part in the staff social life.

They constantly improve their professionalism, study at postgraduate programs, which are obligatory for improving their capabilities. They are committed to their duty and are constantly engaged in self-education.

The Medical Institute’s graduates are distinguished by their competence, a persistently high level of knowledge, abilities, and skills, allowing to efficiently implement their work activities.

The society needs healthy citizens, and the role of high-qualified medical personnel in solving this issue is of primary importance. Nowadays, this problem is being solved by the graduates of PSU’s Medical Institute who are employed virtually at all medical institutions.

The graduates of the Medical Institute of PSU are on guard of public health performing their duties in each medical institution.
